MOST POINTS PRIZE-WINNERS
The following are the cup and points prize-winners at the recent Methven Show: — President's Cup, for most points m the show, R. J. Low; S. Smith's Cup, for most points m live stock, 11. J. Low ; W. Letham's Cup, for most points m Lincolns, J. Dqwling; J. McAnulty 's Cup, for most points m English Leicesters*, W. Letham ; IjL. J. Harrison's Estate Cup, for most points m Border Leicesters, R. J. Low; R. J. Low's Cup, for most points m Southdowns and Shropshires, S. Cos;' A. T. Lilley's Cup, for most points m Corriedales and halfbreds, J. Bland; IT. Maginness's Cup, for most points m dairy cows, J. MoAnulty ; A. Drummond's Cup, for most points m home industry, Miss M. Anderson ; most points m fat sheep and lambs, Miller Bros. ; most points m breeding ewes, Bayfield's Estate; most points m pedigree cattle, J. McAnulty; most points m draught horses, E. A. Bland ; most points m pigs, W. H. Stephens; most points m poultry, C. J. Norton ; most points m fruit, J. Callaghnn and F., G, Mangin (eaual) ; most points m potatoes, R. J. /Low ; most points m field roots, R. J. Low, most points in' cooking, Mrs J. Fleming. The newly-Tnnujrurated stacking competition (oats) held under the auspices of the Methven A and P. Association was judged on Monday last. The judging was done by : Mr W. Street, of Kirwee, who had a difficult task m placing the winner owing to the good work done by all the entrants. The final plabings were: — P. Ruck (£5 ss) 1, W. A. Campion (£2 2s) 2, W. J. Going (£1 Is) 3. Great interest was taken m the competition, and it is intended next year to include a class for best wheat stack.
