RIOTOUS LIVING.

FAST LIFE IN GERMANY. ! EXTRAVAGANCE RUN RIOT. (Per Press Association Copyright.) (Received February 1, 2.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 31. Visitors to German cities are impressed by the spending power of the people generally and the excesses of the "sniart set." Extravagance, elaborate foods, pleasures and the consumption of champagne at present surpasses all records. Ostentation reached its zenith at the recent gathering of the "fast set" m a hall decorated with orchids which cost 300 marks each. A "Times" correspondent describes a Press ball m Berlin at which 5000 dancers thronged the inner halls. This gathering surpassed all records for magnificence, gay dresses and brilliant uniforms. Heels clicked m the^ same old way as the military leaders bent when kissing the hands of the ladies.
