WELLINGTON, January 28. There was a small attendance of buyers at the skin and hide sales totoday, and for most lines bidding was spiritless. '• One of the main reasons oF the decline m prices was said to be tho' postponement of sales m Australia The difficulty of securing shipping space also had its effect on the market. Cow hid^s from country butchers receded a hal -penny to a penny per pound, and ox a half-penny compared with the previous sale. Super freezing hides declined a penny to twopence, calfskins a half -penny to a penny, 'phe price of yearling skins' was on a par with last sale, as were salted skins. Dry skins were n halfpenny cheaper. Tallow showed an all-round drop amounting to approximately £3, per ton. ,
