HASTINGS, April .28. The Hnwke's Bay Jockey Club's autumn meeting opened to-day in fine weather. The totalisator handled £31,761, as against £32,705 last year, a decrease of only £946. Concluding, results: — Hawke's Bay Stakes, .of 700 soys; six furlongs and a-half —Silver Link 1, Humbug 2, Golden Bubble 3. Won by half a head; the third horse a head behind. Time. Imin 21 4-osec. Hawke's Bay Cup, of 1000 soys; one .milo. and a-half—Lovematch 1, Red Ribbon 2, Dusky Eve 3. Won by two lengths; a length between second'and third. Time, 2min 35 2-ssec. Poukawu flack Handicap, of 175 soys; six furlongs —Hymarty and.' Astorinn (dead heat) 1, Vitella 3. A great race up the straight resulted in a dead heat; Vitella a head' away. Time, Imin 15 l-ssce. Autumn Handicap, of 200 soys; once round—Potentiality 1. Punka 2, Demos 3. ■ Won by two lorieths; a length between, second and third. Time, Imin 49spc.
