Youths stoned three soldiers at Limerick. The soldiers chased their assailants. An unknown civilian threw a smoke-bomb, and another fired a shot, fatally wounding a soldier. LONDON, April 28. Sixteen farmers were arrested in County Roscommon in the act of cattle driving. While thousands at Arkloe were celebrating the return of the hunger strikers, a mob stoned a party of soldiers. The collision caused the troops to fire a volley. A civilian was killed and two others were wounded.
