FREEZERS TO BE KEPT GOING.

WELLINGTON, April 23

Regarding the position at the freezing works it is stated that as soon as supplies of live stock in hand are used, butchers and others will he dispensed with until further stock arrive. It is believed that the freezing works will be supplied with coal and that refrigerating machinery will be kept going. The strike has reduced the number of men employed handling meat cargoes at the ports, but there is ample meat in stock in the Dominion to supply all demands for more than a year.
