The Food Ministry has' informed Sir T. Mackenzie that the Government will pay the same price for New Zealand butter as for Danish and Dutch, approximating to the present retail price of 3s less incidental costs. The Australian Press understands- that similar arrangements- are being made regarding Australian butter.
The "ihiily lY.egraph" demands a searching investigation into wool prices.
At the wool siiles ■ inorinoe*.' and fine crossbrecis were unchanged; lower eros-sbreds . ware ■ largely.' withdrawn.
Fine siipes were very firm. There were some withdrawals of lower grade siipes. The New Zealand C.M.C. dip made a top price of 61 d.
