WESTERFIELD.
The residents of Westerfield recently tendered a.social in honour oi Mr S. Reynish who, having sold his farm, is leaving the district to reside at New Brighton, pending his purchase of another farm. Mr A. Dillou presided . over a large attendance of friends and weil-wishers and, on behalf of these, presented the guest of the evening with two Morris chairs m recognition of his services while m the district. ; Mr Dillon specially stressed the valuable work performed by Mr Reynish during* the war, when he had voluntarily supplied all music at patriotic, concerts and dances. The evening took the form of a social, and later the floor was cleared for danciqg, which was, kept up with spirit to an early hour. ....
