WELLINGTON, April 28
The railwaymen stopped at midnight as threatened, but actually completed the. duties in hand. All cleaning was finished before the men went off.
The Department intends to make an attempt, to run the trains, and hopes to keep up a restricted suburban service. The expresses from and to Auckland and Wellington will complete their journeys to-day.
