(Prew Auooiationj OHRISTCHURCH, February 9. The difficulties in connection mm the running of the ferry service between Lyttelton and Wellington have now been practically overcome. .Am} Mararoa, which was held up at Lytwiton on Friday night through the crew refusing to work her because one o» their number had contracted influenza, was afterwards thoroughly fumigated and was able to leave for Wellington at 8.30 p.m. oh Saturday. At the northern port, where the Maori wa* stopped from sailing on Friday owing to a complaint by the firemen regarding leaky boilers, the running was taken up by the Mapourika and t"« Monowai. The Mapourika left Wellington on Saturday at 7.5 p.m., ana reached Lyttelton at 1 p.m.* yesterday, bringing a full complement of passengers and a large mail. The Mqnowai took her departure from Wellington nt 5.15 a.m. yesterday, arriving at Lyttelton at 7.38 p.m., also with,.a full complement of passengers. Special trains from Christchurch met both ressels, and a special express left for Dunediri ■ after the arrival of the Mapourika. : The Mapourika sailed again for Wellington at 5 o'clock last evening.
