LOWCLIFFE.

The Lowcliffe branch of the Far[mers' Union were favoured on-Monday evening by an interesting lecture on " Pastures"' by the Assistant-Biolo-gisi, Mr Bruce Levy. There • was 1 a good attendance, and the lecture was rendered more interesting and instructive by the use of lantern slides. Tho lecturer, speaking for nearly two hours, dealt most fully with his subject, and close attention was given by the audience throughout. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Levy for his address, also to Mr Aitken, who manipulated the lantern.
