"GO SLOW" POLICY.
AUCKLAND, August 29. Confirmation has been obtained • of .the statement that the Huntly miners decided to "go slow" at a stop-work meeting held yesterday. It is understood that two ballots were taken one on the question to strike and one on the question to go slow. The strike proposal was rejected and the proposal ' to "go slow was carried by 270 votes to slightly over 70 against it. In a report issued by the union to-day no mention is made of the above information, but it is stated that the employers' offer was unanimously refused. DUNEDIN, August.'29. The "Otago 'Daily Times" has been informed that the miners at Kaftan- . gata were advised to-day to -adopt a "go-slow" policy from Monday next. It is understood that the proposal will also affect the Wairio, Nightcaps and Green Island miners. Feeling among Kaitangata mineas appears to be divided, and it is expected that some men will follow the advice and some will disregard it. . \ <
