CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. conducted a clearing sale at Mayfield on Monday on belialf of Mi- J. Eayrie. The sale -was largely attended, Mr Pa.yne having been an'old and popular member of the district. The following were the principal sales:— Sheep.—l 63 6 and Bth tj-bred ewes 34s Id, 142 2th do 295, 42 6 and Bth i-bred ewes 27s Id, 6 rams l^gns, 15 m.s. hoggets 14s 9d 5 account Mr W. S. Gallagher., 197 m.s" hoggets 205.. Horses.—Gelding £19, do £13 10s, do £24 10s, do £7, cto £14, do £15, mare £10. . Cattle.—Cow £9, fat steer £18, heifer £9 15s, do £5, springing cow £13 10s Implements.—Ford car £125, roller £13, grubber £7 15s, harrows £10, binder £10, drill £6, gig £13 10s.
