ASHBTJRTON YARDS—TUESDAY.

There was a small yardiiig oO fat sheep at the Ashburton yards to-day and a medium attendance of the public. The highest price reached in ewes was 33s 6d, and others" sold from 25s upwards. In the wethers there was more variety to select from. Mr F. Davison, Newlands, topped the market with 8 at 43s 6d. Other good Hues sold at from 30s to 37s 9d. The highest price in lambs was 26s lid, and others were disposed of at 17s 3d up to 255. In cattle two heifers brought £10 12s 6d each and steers £6 15s\ £11. £13-2s 6d, £11 15s and £13 10s.
