NO-LICENSE COUNCIL.

The annual meeting of the No-license Council was held in the St. Andrew^s Schoolroom last night, when Mr J. Lane presided over a good attendance.

The balance-sheet submitted by Tithe treasurer, Mi* Ferriihan, showed a deficit, owing to large expenditure in connection with, the special licensing' poll. The question of , the - repeated change of boundaries of electorates was discussed, the subject beiiig introduced by Mrs Lilly who brought forward a suggestion from the W.C.T.U. that natural, boundaries, such as the Rangitata and Rakaia Rivers, should be used in denning electorates, instead of as present a straight line from section number -something to a point at the south-east corner of another section in some other survey district.

It was decided to organise district committee's throughout the electorate, and to ask these committees to work the immediate country in. view of. the approaching general election.
