LONDON, March 7. *fib.ere are indications that the Peace Conference's final territorial settlement will be as follows:—----(1) The United States will accept aj mandate tor Armenia, and Italy for the i districts between Syria and Armenia, Smyrna being reserved to Greece. (2) The French mandate will cover Syria, including Alexandretta and Damascus. ■ \ (3) Britain. Will receive a mandate for Mesopotamia, Palestine and German East Africa. (4) France will overlook the greater part of the Camyroons and Togoland. (5) South Africa will receive a mandate for South-West Africa. ,' (6) AU the islands in the Pacific north of the Equator will go to Japan, those south of the Line to Australia, except Snmoa, which goes to New Zealand.
