WFXLINGTON, January 3. Mr Riddett, S.M., held an inquest touching; the dewth of an illegitimate infant, Dorothy Devina Conrad. Dr. Fyffe, who made a. pr>st-mortem examination, attributed death to inanition. Evidence was given to the effect that the child was eiven to a-n 18-yr-old sister of the mother's to look after. The Coroner said he doubted if the child had the attention which was said to have been sciven it. He did hot believe some of the evidence. His verdict was that tho child died from in- : nnjtion, but whether that was through carelessness. or not he could not say. It looked as though the child had not received the attention it should, have had.
