FRUIT INDUSTRY.
WELLINGTON, January 3. For some time the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation has been recommending that an) expert should be sent to America to observe methods of packing and marketing fruit and obtain any information helpful to the industry generally. The Minister of Agriculturd said to-day that a well-qualified officer of the Horticulture Division would visit 'America, for" that'purpose. It was expected tha.t this investigation would prove very beneficial to the fruit, industry.
