HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
The programme screened at His Majesty's Theatre on' Saturday evening whs well selected. The " Co-operativo Weekly." contained a good collection of topical American events. One of ! the pictures showed the burning of a huge grain elevator in Toronto. Others' dealt with recruiting for the. American Army. When a recruit leaves .for active service a poster is placed in his home indicating that the family has a representative at the front. The star iilm, " Life's Whirlpool," featured Ethel Barrymore. Besides containing a- charming climax, the picture was noted for its pretty scenes. Ethel; Barrymore played the part of the innocent victim of circumstances.. Shu passed through.-many strange scenes in the whirlpool of life, and was suspected of crime and driven from shelter with her innocent son. How she w.'is vindicated and emerged 'triumphantly from .the vortex of the whirlpool was dramatically told. A comic completed the programme, which will he screened again this evening. s
