SOCIAL HYGIENE BILL.
A SETTLEMENT EFFECTED
WELLINGTON, October 23. A conference between the Minister of Public Health and members of the House who are opposed to the Social Hygiene Bill was held to-day, and an agreement was reached on a number of points,; the Minister'■■•■ agreeing . ; jbo modify his Bill in some particulars: The amended proposals will be submitted to Cabinet and afterwards to the House. , It is understood that most of the clauses objected to have' been deleted. The, local committee\s clause will be struck out, but the provision for patrols will be retained. It is probable that the new Bill will appear m a day or two. . •
