Mr \V. Carroll, oi Ashburton, ~ha& received iurther word that his feon, i Private A. V. Carroll, was admitted . to hospital in France on October 6, "with shrapnel wounds in his left arm and foot.
Mr J. Tucker has received a letter., from his son, Captain F. Tucker, fronv Johannesburg, stating that the wound i 'in. his thigh was healing; and'thao-he* 'expected to'be able to walk without the aid of crutches at an early date.
