The annual general meeting oi' th© Methven liovvling Club wa-s held in the „A. and P. rooms last evening. Mr John Stewart (president) was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of liiombfcih.

The following new members were elected: —Messrs Owen, Dart, Green, Wren, and Tooid.

The amiual report .showed that the club had had a most huccosbiul season, and that there had been keen competition ior the different trophies. The iiiuincial position of the club was shown to be sound, there being 1 a credit balance < oi" £7 '.is. During the off-season the' green had been topdressed and carefully treated, and during the coming season there is every prospect tha,t it will play better .than it has ever done in the past. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers, and^ particularly to the president, who not only gave freely of his time for the club's benefit, but at \ub own expense put a new floor in the club's pavilion. Tho following officers were elected for tho ensuing year:—Patron, Mr William JJ organ ; president, Mr John Rtcwart; vice^presidpiit, Dr. W. H. D. McKee (who is absent at the front); hon. secretary, i\lr J. Cooper; lion, treasurer, Mr E. Grover; delegate to association, Mr S. Smith; lion", auditor, Mr S. Smith; committee, Messrs Ueattie, ' Dore, Roli, ldynam, and Pearcc; ground , committee, Messrs JJoattie and Stewart.

Tt was decided that the reason bo opened otf Labour Day.
