A FAMILY BONUS.
SUGGESTION OF WANGANUI RAILWAYMEN. 1.
WAiNGAN'UI, Sept. 26
The Wanganui branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has passed-the following resolution :— "That a family bonus be given to all railwaymen, to be allotted on a, sliding scale, to properly combat the high cost of living, a.s a rise in wages does not meet the case. Tlio State then would be assisting those who are providing the best national asset/viz., children, many of whom at the present time are not receiving proper sustenance owing to the high food prices."
