GERMANS IN THE WEST.

The Paris newspaper, " Le Gaulois," estimates that 51 German divisions oppose the British on a front of 87 miles, and 102 divisions face the French on a front of 356 miles. Thus the Germans are twice as strong against the British. Renter's correspondent at. French Headquarters says it is known that between 90 and 100 enemy divisions have been withdrawn from battle since the beginning of the Anglo-French offensive in April. It is a safe calculation that they have suffered 250,000 casualties. There are now 155 German divisions in France, compared with 147 in April.
