ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

{Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. ' The general entry of stock at the Addington yards to-day was considerably smaller than at the previous week's sale. Store and fat sheep and fat lambs all showed a decided decrease in numbers, and the cattlo yardings were also on the small side. Prices on the whole wero fairly well maintained and store sheep showed a slight advance compared with the rates current a week earlier. Quotations are: Forward lambs 18s 7d, wether lambs 16s to 18s lid, ewe lambs 16s 4d to 17s 2d, two, four, six and eight-tooth ewes 19s to 265, two, four, and six-tooth wethers 18b-lid to 25s Id. Sheep.

! Fat Pens.—The entry of fat lambs ' was 1898,, compared with 4708 at the previous sale. Quotations are:—Extra prime 28s, prime 22s to 255, medium 19s to 21s Id, lighter 16s to 17b 6d. , Fat sheep showed a rise of a shilling a head. Prices arc: Extra prime wethers 35b, prime 27s 6d to 30s 9d, others 22s 9d to 275, extra prime ewes 41s 6d, prime 27s to 325, medium 23s to 265, others 16s to 225. Cattle. -■■ Fat Pons.—Three hundred and forty werq .yarded, all of "good quality, including some pens of excellently iinished and well grown cattle. Quotations: Extra prime steers £24, ordinary £9 7s Gd to £13, extra prime heifers £14 12s 6d, ordinary £8 10s to £10, extra prime cows £14, ordinary £G 2s 6d to £9 10s. There was an average yarding of fafc I calves and prices ranged from 8s to ' 50s, extra to 955. There was a small yarding of store cattle. Quotations-.-—Fifteen to 18----month £3 14b 6d,>tw.o-year, steers £5 4s to £5 7s, two-year heifers £4 5s to £4 10s, three-year steers £6 17s 6d, throeyear heifers £5 6s, cows £1 9s to £6 las, dairy cows made £3 10s to £8, extra to £14 15s. Pigs. Fat Pigs.—There was a medium entry of mixed descriptions. Quotations:—Choppers 70s, to 106s, extra heavy ba-conors to 100s, heavy 70s to 80s. light 57s to 68s, heavy norkers 46s to 60s| light 38s to 445. The yarding of stores was limited. Quotations were:—Medium 24b to 30h. small 16s to 235, weaners 6s 9d to 8s Gd.
