(From Our Own Correspondent.)
A meeting of subscribers to the Red Cross funds" was held in tho Ruapuna Hall on Friday night, Mr Burnett in the chair. The secretary read the results of tho late fete, the total being £193 14s 9d, including £5 17s due for goods bought at auction. This amount will be slightly reduced after the payment of expenses. The following are the donations received since last, report:—Messrs J. Brown £2 Bs, W. Reid £1, G. Murdoch £1, E. Roberts £1, ,T. R. Simpson £1, Wilson Baxtor £], H. At the close of the meeting a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to tho hon. serr?tary (Mr F._ Taskor) for tho energetic way he had" worked for the cause/
