MR ARTHUR SEARELL.
The Oust district has sustained a severe los>s through the death of Mr Arthur Scarell. Possessing musical abilities of a high order, his services for about 30 years were* placed unreservedly at the disposal of every good cause. Of a generous disposition, he was always willing to actively associate 1 himself with every movement which ' had for its object the raising of funds for those who were in need. For many years he faithfully served the Presbyterian congregation „ as organist and choirmaster, and his assistance at all public functions of the church was highly valued. As a member of local institutions he was zealous in furthering the interests of the district. He was very much attached to Free',masonry, and was a Past Master oi t the VVairaki ' Lodge. 'He leaves a 1 widow, two daughters and three sons, two ■o.f-'vftiom, Mr Stanley Searcll. and Mr T. A. Searell,, of the Civil Service. 'Wellington, have been accepted foi active service at the front. The succumbed' to an attack ol f heart; ' disease. He was a Radical ir 'politics and keenly supported all pro ' gressive measures.
