BLOCKADE NOT COERCION
ATHENS, Novmbfir 22. A profound .sensation was caused by the British Legation's statement .in tho newspapers, which says: "'ln view of the Hollcnic Govermnera'a attitude regarding tho security of tho Entente's troops and the liberty of action they are entitled to in connection with tho disembarkation, the Allied Powers • judge it necessary to tako certain mea-,-'Snres, having as their object tho sus- , pending of the commercial and economic facilities which Greece hitherto ha» ■ enjoyed.' The Powers in nowiso intend to coerce Greece to deparr _ from tho neutrality which she believes besV serves her interests, but tho Enteute is obliged to take cognisance of ■pertain ' allusions made to tho possibility x'oi measures by the Greek Government which would be contrary to the assurances received.
