PRESS BUREAU REPORT

LONDON, November 17

The Press Bureau states that insurgent tribesmen attacked the British Consul's house at Bushire (Persia) on July 12,' and, after heavy firing, Major Oliphant and Captain Rankin, commanding an Indian detachment', were killed. Early in September tho Consul at Ispahan and the Vice-Consul at Shin;z were shot and wounded. The latter died. The German Consul at Kormanshah, with 200 men and two maxims, prevented the British and Russian Consuls reaching Kermanshah, which is the main means of entrance for German agents into Persia. :
