MAKING MUNITIONS. 345 FACTORIES CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT. OVER • 10,000 v VOLUNTEER WORKERS. (Received August 13, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 12. The Minister of Munitions announces that the Government has taken control of 345 establishments manufacturing munitions and is limiting the employers' profits, the excess (being paid into the Exchequer- Thus the workmen are making sacrifices tor the nation as a'whole, and not for individuals. +1 There are 10,500 members ot tno Munitions Brigade working nightly and at week-ends.
