ASHBURTON HIGH SCHOOL v. TIMARU HIGH SCHOOL.

Two teams of boys from the Ashburton High School journeyed down to Timaru on Saturday to play football matches against the Timaru High School. The visitors were very hospitably entertained, and succeeded in winning both matches by narrow margins. The Ashburtou School's first 15 played the Timaru School's seconds, and after an interesting game, in . which •Timaru took most of the offensive, the I Ashburton boys won by 5 points to 37 Hood scored and converted the Ashburton try. : .
