BARING SQUARE LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY.
The 'usual weekly meeting of the above was held on Monday, when Mr .W.';H. "Higgins occupied the chair. There was a-good attendance; The subject set- down:for discussion was "Advice to the War Office about Germany.'' Naturally, some very "original" suggestions were brought forward by members, and led to considerable discussion. The ideas of members. varied i from the sublime to the ridiculous, and some created a great deal of amusement.
