GERMAN ATROCITIES.
OFFICIAL FRENCH REPORT. PARIS, August ± A further official report of Germanatrocities details numerous cases where French civilians were used as screens - ;for German attacks. Many Frenchmen have been suffering from horrible wounds due to filed bullets, which tho Germans packed in special boxes labelled Para Bellum. It was also shown that General Stenger, commanding the 58th Brigade I had issued orders that after August (26 no more prisoners were to bo taken, I and not a living Frenchman-"*'as to bo , left; Statements of German prisoners j in German diaries show that the order i was carried out, and that wounded j Frenchmen were finished off in cold
blood with bayonet stabs and the butts of rifles. Other cases have, bejen found whore mon's throats had been slit and their chests crushed in, and other mutilations inflicted.
