BANKS AND PROFESSIONS v. AUCTIONEERS.
With the Ashburton County Rugby Union's permission, it was decided to play the annual match, Banks and Professions y. Auctioneers, on Thursday, August 26. ' '■■'
The Union is being asked to obtain a "close day," and to obtain leave for the mateh'to be played on the Domain Oval. Provided this is satisfactoi-ily arranged,. the usual charges will be made for admission,; and all takings after paying ground and advertising expenses will go to the Red Cross Fund.
A management committee, consisting of Messrs J. R. Brown, G. Buchanan, and David Friedlander, has been elected, and will work to make the afternoon as attractive as possible.
The following are . requested to go into active training to enable the Banks and Professions to pick their team:—Baird, Buchanan, Burrows, Beattie, Bonnington, Christie, Cowan, Cullen, Dempster, Dee, Digby, Edwards, Findlay, Freeth, Graham, B. Hart, G. Hart, Hume, Jones, T. R, Mowat, /McCallum, Mclntyre, P. Mowat, Stewart, Stone, Taylor, Vesty. Watson, Watters, Wilkie, and Willis.
