GERMANS REPULSED.
BRITISH HAND GRENADE FIGHTING.

A communique states: —
After repulsing several enemy attacks by means of hand grenades, we occupied a section of trenches on the sunken road between Ablain and Angres. '. \ ' Northward of Bethune and the Arras high road we obtained an advantage an mine fighting. On the Perthes and Beau-sejours front, wo repulsed the Germans at Marie Therese and St. Hubert, after a brisk bomb and petard fight. Our artillery quenched three attacks on our positions at Haut Bois, between Les Eparges and the trenches at. Colonne. The Germans bombarded Pont-a-Mousson and neighbouring Tillages with incendiary shells.
