THE MAORI CONTINGENT.
WELLINGTON, July 30
In the last casualty lists there have appeared the names of Maoris, and from this it is evident that the Native troops have been in action at Gallipoli. So far, however, no report has reached'the authorities about any fighting in which tho Maoris'have''been concerned. The Defence Minister said today that he had no further information than wa« contained in the casualty lists.
