ANAMA.
The Social Club.
The Social Club held its fortnightly meeting last Friday evening in the schoolroom. There was a good attendance of members and visitors, and Mr J. Ablett was in tho chair. After tho routine business had been transacted, tho evening'B entertainment was proceeded with. Every item was provided by the gentlemen as follows:—Songs, Rev. P: Wilson, Messrs G. Harrison, J. T. Williams, J. Ablett, W. Bennett, J. Toner, E. Burgess, and S. Gale; bagpipe selection, Mr W. J. Robertson ; mouth organ, Mr Ablett; accordeon, Mr A. Johnson; humorous story, Rev. W. E. Sleep; recitations, Messrs W. S. Greenslade, J. L. Bennett, J. T. Williams, W. Cartright, J. Toner, A. Wise, S. Jones, and A. Allen; humorous readings, Rev. P. Wilson and Mr H. Beckett. A very enjoyable programme was brought to a close by singing the National Anthem. A bountiful supply of refreshments was provided by the gentlemen, one sending along a large pot of Irish stow, which was eagerly devoured. Mrs W. Bennett proposed, and Miss Greenslado seconded, a hearty vote of thanks to the gentlemen for the evening's entertainment.
