At the annual meeting of the AshI burton Trotting Club last evening, the president reported that Mr J. Heseltine had offered a silver cup as a trophy for the winner of tho Boxing Day Handicap, on December 26, next. —It was agreed to extend the club's thanks to Mr K-esoitino for his offer.—Mr Nicoll said that owners would sooner have a good cup than win £100 in stakes.
