RACING AND WAR.
NO DERBY THIS YEAR
LONDON, May 28
The Epsom authorities hare decided that there shall be no Derby this year. The Ikieecourse Association intends sending a deputation to Mr Runciinan to put forward tho contention that tho stoppage of racing will interfere with horse-breeding. The Irish Turf Club is continuing its meetings at present. The " Racing Calendar" announces the conditions of a new race, to he decided at Newmarket in "Ascot Week," for horses which claimed engagements in the Epsom Derby.
