(Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, December 16. The fat cattle yarded at Burnside to-day numbered 251. There was a big yarding of fair quality cattle. At the commencement of the salt' prices were a shade firmer than those ruling last week, but it was expected that owing to the-/ number brought forward, they would be easier • before the close of the auction. Export buyers were prepared to take any quantity up to 40s pet 1001b. freezing weight. Best bullocks fetched £13 10s to £14 10s,! extra to £17 lO.sj medium £11 10s to £12, inferior £9 10s to £10 10s,, best cows and heifers £10 10s to £11 10s, extra to £14, medium £7 10s to £8 10s, inferior £6 to £G 10s. Fat Sheop.—229s wore yarded, a medium yarding of fair quality. Prices obtained were much on a x3ar with 1 those ruling"lust week. Quotations: — Best, shorn wethers' 28s to 30s, extra to 335. medium 21s to 225, inferior 18s to 19s 6d, best shorn ewf* 23s to 255, e.xti-a to 28s 3d, medium 17s tp 19s, inferior 13s to 15s. Thorp were 270 lambs yarded—a small yarding of fair quality. Prices were wisie-r. Best lambs realised ,18s to 10<;. extra to 21s. medium 16s to 17s, inferior 14-s to 1.55.
