THE WEATHER.
The weather to-day has been beautifully fine, with just enough wind to make conditions agreeable. A bright sun has llfcen shining in a cloudless sky since the early morning. ' \ Seventy-four degrees in the shade was the. maximum temperature . to-day.
Mr' Bates telegraphed to-day as follows: —The indications are for southerly winds, strong to'a. gale at times, and with a westerly tendency. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, and will cloud over for rain later. The night will probably be very cold. ■ The barometer is rising.
