HINDS.

The annual "treat" in connection with the Anglican Sunday School, was held in the vicarage grounds on Saturday afternoon. In spite of the boisterous morning there was a good attendance of children and parents, and a pleasant time was spent in playing games; A programme of sports was gpne through Surilng the afternoon. Each event was well contested, and provided amusement for the spectators. The vicar (Rev,-. 6. .B. Nansen) distributed the prizes for the sports and, the prizes gained at the Sunday School during the year. He paid a tribute to the teachers, who had carried on the work so successfully, and to the 'scholars, who had been very regular in their attendance and attentive to their lessons. A plentiful supply of refreshments was distributed .and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. Before leaving a tin of Jollies was scrambled for.
