" - James Bruce (Supervisor of Draught Horses) reported that exhibitors nacl caused considerable trouble at the recent Show through not having had their exhibits ready to enter the ring wJiph required for judging, which had seriously delayed the work of the judges and had meant/ unnecessary ivork for the officials. This diiTieulty might be overcome by a marshalling ring for draught horses erected adjacent to the judging ring. It had been noticeable in a number of cases that exhibitors showed their stock in a somewhat rough condition, which placed some very 4ine animals at a disadvantage when ranged alongside those on which more care in preparation for the Show had been expended. He would suggest to exhibitors that it was only fair to their stock to-give them reasonable attention before entering the judging ring, as the judges had to take the horses as" they appeared before them on. Show Day, and make their awards accordingly. He recommended: —(1). That the system of numbering tried with 'success in the light .horse section this year bo extended to the draught horse section ; (2). That posts and lines for tieing hordes be re-arranged; 1 (3) That a marshalling ring for draughts be erected close to the judging ring.—The report was received and referred to the sub-committee for consideration.-.-.'"..:

. Mr.;H. A. Lloyd (Supervisor of the Light Horse Section) reported, recomriiending that trotting events be run. off on ■the 'second day of the' Show, as • it seemed a pity to throw away good sport' id so few of the public as at-' tended on the first day. He suggested that-the height'of' ponies''be raised to 14;' hands, tor at least one- of the trots rind, .that the age limit .for i riders in :■• tliat class lie /.for,.. boys and: girls'- of not over' -14 years. He 'rocoinended that the competition for f;ii<v>st vralkina; hack be a.-handicap,, •'which, ho'thought, .would produce more JcT.tj-ies'.—-Ikeceived, arid submitted to .the KUu-comnritt.ee for One new member was elected and the "meeting terminated.,. ; >'
