(Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) Breach of Order. Joseph Pearson pleaded guilty to a broach of a prohibition order. It being the second similar offence, a fine of 20s was imposed.- '. . Keep of a Horse. j John Newman (Mr Kennedy) proceeded against C. and H. Ireland claiming £35 10s, cost of keeping an entire horse. Mr Nicholls appeared for Charles Ireland, and asked for an adjournment. He stated that the horse had never been sold to Charles Ireland.
Mr Kennedy asked for judgment against H. Ireland. Frank Newman stated that he had not been present when the horse had been brought in. Herbert Ireland had left the horse in the stable. Irelandhad said that Charles would pay for the upkeep of the horse. By Mr Nicholls: Charles Ireland had said that he had nothing to do,wi#i the horse. ; _ ' . Judgment was given-against Herbert; ' Ireland for £35 10s, and 30s costs; with £2 12s solicitor's, fees. The claim against Charles , Ireland was adjourn- j cd. "": ' ■' ' ■■ ■ .j Defence Act Case. William ;Robinson was charged with a breach o| the Defence Act. He stated that he ha!d. not understood the Act. The case was dismissed on the understanding that accused registered as j required by the Act. Civil Cases. F. S. Barrett obtained judgment by default against V. J. Grainger for £5 Is, and against Andrew Mclntosh for £1 Bs,: costs being allowed against defendants in each > case.
