THE FEDERAL ELECTIONS.
CORRUPT PRACTICES NOT PROVED.
MELBOURNE, December 16. The report of the Senate Committee which inquired into the allegations of corrupt practices at the last Federal elections,' cays that the committee is satisfied that there is no evidence to sustain the charges. No witness was able to say that he had personal information of unlawful practices, and the evidence disclosed remarkably few irregularities considering the large increase in the number of voters.
