WELLINGTON, December 14. , Amplifying recent remarks regarding tjie great delay in shearing in consequence ' of wet weather, Mr Laracy, secretary of the Shearers' Union, states that in a,number of sheds men who are first-class shearers have not' worked three days, during the past month, but, nevertheless, they are paying the strike levy of 10s, a week. The executive has decided to keep the men at work, and impose the levy, as' in its opinion finance is going to be the most important factor in the strike.
