GENERAL BOTHA INDIGNANT

Speaking at the Congress, General Botha hotly protested against the allegations of ill-treatment of Indians, which 'he said would do incalculable harm. He, expressed surprise that responsible statesmen should go so far as to question the' Government's good faith. If its accusers did not abandon that attitude, he saw very little hope for "the future. '
