THE GOVERNMENT'S DECISION.
LAW AND ORDER WILL BE
MAINTAINED
CAPETOWN, November 25
At the Congress, General Botha, in his statement on the Indian question, regretted' that false allegations had been circulated by irresponsible persons. A great responsibility rested upon the English and Indian Press. The Government had exercised the greatest consideration and generosity to the Indians, who really had declared war against the South African laws. The Government would maintain law and order at all costs and would do everything to see - that- no one in connection with the Natal strike ill-treated whites. He added thai the coloured races, who looked to the whites for justice, should receive it.
