ATHLETICS.
DUNEDIN, April 8. The annual inter-collegiate sports meeting was held to-day, m fine weather. All the colleges were pretty evenly represented, except Auckland— which had a weaker team. Victoria College won the shield with .17 points, Otago scored 11, Canterbury 10, and Auckland 1.
In throwing the hammer at the Palmerston North sports on Monday, Pattick Ford broke the North Island record, throwing 98ft. llin.
