FURNITURE TRADE WORKERS.

DUNEDIN, February 28. The bi-ennia] congress of the New Zealand Furniture Trade Industrial Association of. Workers opened hero today. The following delegates were prosent : —Messrs I). G. Sullivan and A. E. Rallinger (Christchurch), J. Silverstone and W. Ruston (Dunedin), R. Walls and Pattison (Auckland), I). Kennedy and D. Moriarty (Wellington). Mr Pattison was elected president of the congress. , The report presented showed that the unions were paying capitation as follows: —Auckland 75 members, Wellington 250, Christchurch 155, Dunedin 96. The remainder of the day was devoted to consideration of proposed alterations in the rules.
